Yash Raj Film’s Tiger Zinda Hai becomes the 5th Hindi and 7th Indian Film to earn over 300 crores at the box office.

Yash Raj Film’s and Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda hai directed by the Sultan fame Ali Abbas Zafar has earned over 325 CR nett at the domestic box office and emerged as the 3rd biggest Hindi grosser and 5th highest Indian film overall after Baahubali: The Conclusion & The Beginning, Dangal, and PK. The other two 300 CR films are Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. So far till 14th January 2018 the nett domestic collections of Tiger Zinda hai are as follows;

Opening Day 34.10 CR
End of Opening Weekend 114.93 CR
End of Week 1 206.04 CR
End of Week 2 291.55 CR
End of Week 3 318.86 CR
Lifetime Collection 325.71 CR*

The film is looking to finish around 330-32 CR mark in India which is very good and Salman Khan has again proved that with the Masala genre he can never go wrong. In the overseas markets, Tiger Zinda Hai that released across 1100 screens has now managed to take in a staggering $19.21 Million USD (Rs. 1221.9 CR) in its three-week run.

The film will definitely make over $21 Million USD in the overseas which is very good for a Salman Khan film and it also tells us that the popularity of the actor is increasing across the globe over the years, earlier he was far behind Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan when it came to overseas hits and foreign following but Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and now Tiger Zinda Hai worked better than some of SRK’s films of late. In addition to that, the worldwide gross collection of Tiger Zinda Hai is standing as the 8th best among Indian Films with 522.26 CR ($82 Million USD) behind Dangal ($331 Million USD), Baahubali: The Conclusion ($270 Million USD), PK ($130 Million USD), Baahubali: The Beginning ($100 Million USD), Bajrangi Bhaijaan ($99 Million USD), Dhoom:3 and Sultan ($92 Million USD each).

With two anticipated films in the form of Padmawat and Padman are in store this January, we all can hope for more happy days for the Indian films.
