UFC 212 MAIN EVENT – FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
JOSE ALDO VS MAX HOLLOWAY
Jose Aldo – He has been the torch bearer of this weight, and with a CV of 16 Wins – most in UFC featherweight category.
9 Knockouts – most in UFC featherweight category.
On a 10 match winning streak.
FIGHT- was one of the most anticipated and it did live up to the expectations, in fact in terms of deceptiveness it surpassed whatever one could imagine.
Max is one of those warriors who waits, sucks in whatever is dished out and then unleashes himself on the helpless opponent and proves his clout, has been doing it with success in the last 10 bouts, and the 11th was no different.
Jose Aldo started on a man in a hurry as he bombarded his opponent with lefts and rights and showed his might.
Was no different as Aldo went for the kill, but Max is no hollow and new his way or planned will be apt as he kept on taking what was coming.
With 1st two in his kitty, it seemed 3rd will go the same course but that’s when Max showed he was not a duck for the roast, the way he just turned the tables was a perfect example for anyone wanting to make it big both Brawn and Brain in the combo do the trick.
ENDURANCE – Aldo has often been seen short on the same level when it comes to stamina and his team should have known and planned better, but then whatever you plan doesn’t actually work in the octagon.
End Result – Ferocious and Ruthless, giving nothing away Max laid him on the mad and had him slain.
Result – 3rd round TKO.
REFEREE – John McCarthy
CLAUDIA GADELHA vs KAROLINA KOWALKIEWICZ
Claudia is the ‘Takedown’ queen with an envious record of 27 in 6 UFC fights, most in this division’s history, and 28th just took 3minutes of the 1st round, thus becoming the 1st to dish out her opponent her 1st Take Down.
MEN’S MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION
VITOR BELFORT VS NATE MARQUARDT
Both men had tasted defeat in their last Octagon feat, so it was time for resurrection and gaining that confidence.
Victor ‘THE PHENOM’ ok is past his prime, but then all champs have to one day, it’s how they deal and carry whatever juice they have left with.
Some people have that extra spark even if they passed their prime, not that Victor is down and dusted, his unanimous decision win still shows he has it in him, but how much can sustain only time will tell, till then win is what everything secondary and all is well.
Controversy is the sibling of UFC because their isn’t a fight night where one opponent in atleast one fight feels the whole world transpired against him to support the hosts favourite child, and this time it was no different when NATE accused of crowds reaction effecting judges mind in making their decision. But then sore looser is nothing new , though The phenom has agreed to give his opponent a rematch at a place which is true.
