Holly Holmes vs De Randamie-
De Randamie defeated Holly Holmes in 5 rounds, in about which never reached the standards which have been seen off late, majority ending in the first round itself.
In fact the match will be remembered more for the judges ignoring or giving benefit of doubt to Randamie for landing punches even after the hooter sounded not once but twice in as many rounds, because if had the judges been even half the strict as my class teachers in high school, seperatedHolly would have got one point each in both the rounds and got the ball rolling because the end separated the winners by only a point.
Its not as if Randamie was not dominant, she was especially in the first two rounds, and overall she was on par with landing more Head strikes 87-16, Body strikes 41-31, but if rules are made then they ought to be applied.
Holly on her part was more impressive in leg strikes 46-29 and more than 8 minutes of clinch control as to just 45 seconds by her victorious opponent.
48-47 all three judges unanimously favoured December Randamie.
Bantamweight world title

The greatest fighter of all time ‘The spider‘ has atlast after 4years experienced sweet smell of victory though this fight had even more share of drama what with Silva trailing big time both in strikes 57-127 and take down departments but maybe Judges were seeing what naked eye couldn’t or they were in make believe world and hallucinating as they were clear in the verdict of 29-28,29-28 and 30-37.
But whatever be the controversy it was overwhelming for Anderson and his fans to see his hand raised in triumph after more than 1500 days and that’s what mattered most, as he has given so much to the sport and his fans and has been one of the main reasons why this sport is where it is in terms of popularity and people’s heart. Even God’s are smiling it seems.
