Saif Ali Khan Starrer Chef to Wrestle with Hollywood Biggie Blade Runner 2049 at the Box Office This Week.
Preview And Analysis of Chef Starring Saif Ali Khan and Blade Runner 2049 Starring Ryan Gosling.
Directed by RAJA MENON who also made the highly acclaimed in all ways that matter AIRLIFT (2016), is back with a remake of Hollywood movie by the same name and what’s pleasing that they have bought the rights and not stolen as most might thus avoiding the blame game.
Will this COMEDY/DRAMA work at least with the target audience only time will tell, but what’s out there be it the teaser or trailer it might well as it’s got everything going for it be it the presentation or performances so all seems saif and safe.
The cast is apt and has the knack of giving something great if the captain of the ship is apt and everything seems on the right track.
The lead player who is going through a rough patch off late as his last films have been not well received especially on the economic front which unfortunately what matters in this materialist age, but solely on the talent he is second to none and that’s SAIF ALI KHAN, who along with his fellow co-stars PADMA PRIYA (on-screen wife), Svar Kamble (on-screen son), Chandan Roy Sanyal (friend) all seem to be in their elements along with the rest of the seasoned and new bees.
SHOULD YOU WATCH THE MOVIE? Definitely, as the Director has in him to make this 2 hrs 10 mins a tasty and delectable affair. Also if nothing else then at least savor the dishes on display.
BLADE RUNNER 2049:
Hollywood is replicating one of its own 1982 directed by the great RIDLEY SCOTT and yes it’s got an addition of 2049, why this monumental jump? Only the movie can justify hopefully because it looks a well-made sequel from the trailer.
RIDLEY SCOTT thy name spells magic and rarely he disappoints but when it does then too it has got its moments which is why no matter what he is difficult to match so its a Challenge for DENIS VILLENEUVE who takes charge and carries forward the legacy, and if past is any indication then he already announced his universal ARRIVAL in 2016.
While the original had the original 100 million king of American box office, yes you guessed it right HARISSON FORD has the maximum movies in that club and he still packs a punch though this time the remake stars RYAN GOSLING who is the name to reckon when it comes to performances be it LA LA LAND or DRIVE he is always in cruise mood. Giving him company is the WWE wrestler Dave Bautista, who has been a rare success on the screen that matters, unlike most who have turned out to be has-beens.
SHOULD YOU WATCH IT? It’s one of the most anticipated of recent times, hopefully, it holds true in the Indian context too, but does Hollywood care?
