Sachin Tendulkar’s documentary film, Sachin: A Billion Dreams has scored well in its 1st week despite being a docu-feature and earned 41.20 CR in all the languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi. The fans of Legendary cricket player came to see the film to recount the cherishing memories of the batting God. The film is made on a budget of 30 CR and has already made some profit theatrically that means the satellite and home video rights of the film will give dividends to the makers and will make it a sound success.
Irrfan Khan starrer satire Hindi Medium is turning out to be a big hit as the movie after making 26 CR in the first week has added another 21 CR in the second week to take its two weeks total to 47 CR approx. This small budget film will cross 50 CR mark in its third week and will emerge as a big surprise hit. This shows when you make an entertaining film with content then it can fetch you benefits even if it is made on a low cost.
Last week’s big Hollywood release Pirates Of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge made around 23 CR in India in the first week and looking to cross 30 CR mark for sure which is good. Worldwide the film has made over $500 Million USD in just 7 days and despite Luke warm reviews from the critics has emerged as a big hit.
Half Girlfriend in its second week has been completely rejected by the audiences and added only 8 CR to make a total of 58.71 CR in 14 days. The film is an underwhelming below average grosser.
Bahubali: The Conclusion is now the first film ever to earn 500 CR in Hindi as the Nett collection of the Hindi version after five weeks stands at 500.13 CR, in all probability the lifetime will touch 510 CR mark and all India Nett is a whopping 1000 CR, a record which is looking very difficult to be broken in near future.
