The big release of last week Raaz Reboot failed badly as it hardly pumped any excitement in the cinegoers despite being a franchise film which has seen success in the past. The movie opened poorly and ended its 1st week on disappointing note and it might not even touch 30 cr lifetime mark. This is 9th flop in a row for Emraan Hashmi and now he need to reinvent himself for a longer run in the industry.
Here’s the day wise break-up of 1st week:
Fri – 6.30 cr
Sat – 5.49 cr
Sun – 6.30 cr
Mon – 2.61 cr
Tue – 2.27 cr
Wed – 2.01 cr
Thu – 1.75 cr
Total: ₹ 26.73 cr nett.
On the other hand Pink not only got great reviews but also the collections grew over the weekend and remained rock steady in the weekdays too. Nobody had much Box office expectation from this sort of film but still it surprised everyone and enjoyed a solid word of mouth and is expected to dominate at plexes in Week 2 as well, despite a plethora of new releases. Don’t be surprised if it touches 60 cr lifetime mark or may even cross it.
Here’s the 1st week’s day wise break-up:
Fri – 4.32 cr
Sat – 7.65 cr
Sun – 9.54 cr
Mon – 3.78 cr
Tue – 3.51 cr
Wed – 3.87 cr
Thu – 3.24 cr
Total: ₹ 35.91 cr nett. (HIT)
Though Pink became the much needed hit for Bollywood, Baar Baar Dekho and Freaky Ali both got exhausted completely in their second week only which is a very sad state for the longivity of Hindi films in this era.
We’ll be back again next Friday with all the Box office updates till then keep surfing GyanDarbar for more news, interviews and updates.
