Rani Mukerji is back on the silver screen this week with Hichki, Pacific Rim Uprising also hits the theatres along with Baa baaa Black Sheep and Sajjan Singh Rangroot.

HICHKI

DIRECTED BY – Sidharth P. Malhotra
CV – We Are Family (2010), Kareeb (1998) as an assistant director.
So, if the past is the solo criteria then not much is being promised but then promises can always be broken or overturned for the betterment and hope is that ‘tope’ which should never be in sync with forgone conclusion.
WRITERS – Ankur Malhotra and Sidharth P. Malhotra and so many ingredients either make a masterpiece or total crap which is least accepted here.
CAST – Rani Mukerji, we are not utilising
chopra though everything is in the name when it comes to money game but then what’s in a name, above the queen of hearts is back. She is such fine actress after all.
Rest of the turks are not your everyday discussion but apt and refreshed and that’s what is important.

RUNNING TIME – 1 hour and 56 minutes.
CRITICS TAKE – Its been above average with common focal point being cast which is perfect.
SHOULD YOU WATCH IT? All the corrupted teachers and their is no dearth of them and all the Parents it’s for them because it’s not only a students fault when they are not up to the mark everyone needs a proper guru for guidance be it SACHIN or VIRAT.

BAA BAAA BLACK SHEEP

RUNNING TIME – 1 hour 43 minutes
DIRECTED BY – Vishwaas Pandya

CV – A mixture of both being a producer, I did Not Kill Gandhi (2005) and actor (Fear) to name a few and making his debut as a director and writer. Ok jack of all trades and king of? Only time will tell.
CAST – Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor,Kay Kay Menon, Manish Paul, Manjari Faddnis.
CRITICS TAKE – When the cast is a powerhouse then at least the acting department is one to vouch for but if the treatment is shabby and that’s what is happening.
WILL YOU WATCH IT? What an irony the name all have by hearted in their kindergarten days but hardly anyone knows it is even a movie is really a shame shame.

PACIFIC RIM UPRISING

RUNNING TIME – 1 hour 51 minutes
DIRECTED BY – Steven S. DeKnight
CV – Making his debut as director after producing Daredevil (2015) and quite a few Netflix TV series.
It’s quite interesting that so many first timers are coming into limelight and what’s even more that most are producers in their own right. Maybe they have the experience and rerealir they can be the best bet to utilise their resources. But how much they achieve or nosedive only time will tell.
CRITIC’S TAKE – When you are carrying forward the work of any Oscar winner like Guillermo del Toro’s who was at the helm of PACIFIC RIM (2013), It’s got big shoes to fill but then it’s always good to have a new perspective and that’s what’s critics have noticed. It’s not bad at all and a time paas must watch.

SAJJAN SINGH RANGROOT

RUNNING TIME – 2 hours 20 Minutes
Based on the true story of the bravery of Sikh regiment who fought for the British against the Germans in world war one.
DIRECTED BY – PANKAJ BATRA
CV – When you have BAMBUKAT, an award winning movie then lots is expected and full justice to the great warriors is what we desire.

CAST – Diljit Dosanjh and Yograj Singh, both are superstars in their own right and generations, but what would be interesting how the firangi cast is presented and their execution which will be the icing on the cake or half baked.

SHOULD YOU WATCH IT? Yes if it’s about the brave people then we shouldn’t just forget them when they are in grave. Keep the memories alive and let the juggernaut flying. .
