Preview: Ajay Devgn’s Raid Hits the Theaters Today Along with Gringo.
Ajay Devgn starrer Raid Hits the Theaters Today and this week Along with Gringo, don’t be surprised because there are only two movies, so where to go what to watch if you want to see will be crystal clear. RAJ KUMAR GUPTA comes after 5 years with another one of his thrillers RAID with AJAY DEVGN.
Hollywood film GRINGO has nothing to offer in terms of Indian sensibilities if sensibility has anything to do with us.
DIRECTED BY – Raj Kumar Gupta
CV – No One Killed Jessica (2011), Ghanchakker (2013) and his best till date Aamir (2008).
Will his new based on true incidents which led to a confrontation between an officer and a ‘mai-baap’ also referred to as politicians make a mark only time will tell but we can only hope for the best and our best wishes to him and his rest of the team.
WRITTEN BY – Ritesh Shah, his CV which has Pink (2016), Airlift( 2016), D-Day( 2013), Kahaani( 2012), Chef (2017), a lot is expected.
RUNNING TIME – 2 Hours 18 Minutes
CAST – Ajay Devgn whose Dane Dane pe poker-faced brooding is evident in almost every movie. Is it the flaw of the directors or it seems he is least interested hopefully this time its Gangaajal revisited though with slight innovations and twist or we are asking too much?
Saurabh Shukla is a delight to watch whenever on screen. Some people just have this gift to lighten up the screen no matter how mediocre may be the scene.
Ileana D’Cruz is one of those upcoming actors not in terms of heroine but in terms of acting. She sometimes reminds us of Priyanka Chopra who it seems would do anything to make it big (what we meant by that we keep it to your wild imagination and guess)
CRITIC’S TAKE – Is mixed till date, some are liking it others are finding it average but the common denominator and dominating all is AJAY and SAURABH clash which plays a big role in not becoming a trash but time pass at least.
SHOULD YOU WATCH IT? Yes because whatever is out there it seems this movie is not going to destroy your brain as for that we have many released off late and on the way.
RUNNING TIME – 1 Hour 51 Minutes of Dark Comedy.
DIRECTED BY – Nash Edgerton
CV – The Square (2008) which was a thriller and couple of short films like Spider (2007) and Bear (2011) in which he acted too.
CAST – David Oyelowo, Charlize Theron, Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried.
IMDb RATING – 6/10
META SCORE – 46
ROTTEN TOMATOES – 39%
WILL YOU WATCH IT?
No, you wouldn’t even care because GRINGO may seem like a superheroes name but it is not and that’s the bottom line. But if you are a Charlize fan then no one can stop.
