Noor Flops badly, all eyes on Baahubali 2 now.
Noor has ended its first poorly with collections of just Rs. 7.75 crores at the Box Office. These are lowest numbers of the year for any major Hindi film this year (barring Machine, which was a complete disaster from the first show itself) and one doesn’t foresee any other release in 2017 with a notable face to be registering any lower numbers now.
The Sonakshi Sinha starrer started on a low note, didn’t improve over the weekend, and then sunk further during the weekdays. The Bahubali 2 wave was also sweeping the nation during this duration which means all eyes were on the SS Rajamouli directed-film and hence the Sunhil Sippy affair was further ignored.
There is hardly a show or two in very few multiplexes where Noor has managed an entry in the second week. However, one doesn’t see more than a crore added to the film’s total. The film would end it’s run under the Rs. 8.5 crores mark, hence adding on to the list of some of the biggest commercial disasters of all times.
Fast and Furious 8 so far has made 78.69 crores at the Indian Box Ofice which is commendable, and as predicted earlier it will surely cross the 80 crore mark in the lifetime run as now the Indian Furious, Baahubali 2 will take over every film. Worldwide Furious 8 has made so far $966 million USD, though it has made only $172 million USD in US/Canada, that means it has underperformed there if you take its $250 million budget into account. The franchise is more popular in Asia than America it has been proved again and also that we Asians love substandard pieces of stuff more.
Other Hindi release, the comeback film of Raveena Tondon, Matr will now be remembered as her go back film because of its washout performance at the Box office. The movie has made a little over 1 crore in its week one and nobody dared to go near the theaters where it was screening.
