Let’s make ‘Dil Bechara’ a Motion Picture Event of the year for Sushant Singh Rajput, and give him the due recognition which he never got as an actor when he was alive.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie ever ‘Dil Bechara’ is slated for release today evening. The movie sees Sushant play the role of a boy who has been detected with cancer, but knows how to live life king-size. His acting had caught everybody’s attention when the trailer of the film released.
‘Dil Bechara’ was shot two years ago, but the film’s release date was postponed several times. It was always Sushant’s much-awaited film and after his sudden demise, there’s also an emotional connection with it.
The trailer of the film released on July 6 to a fabulous response and shattered the records in terms of views received of several Bollywood and Hollywood blockbusters.
‘Dil Bechara’ has been the top trend since days now. Ahead of its release, let’s know a little more about the film:
It stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi opposite the Sushant. The film narrates the love story of Kizie (Sanjana), a cancer patient, and Manny (Sushant), and how the duo explores life together.
The film has been shot in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and in Paris. It went on floors in 2018.
‘Dil Bechara’, helmed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, is the official remake of the 2014 Hollywood romantic drama ‘The Fault In Our Stars’, based on John Green’s popular novel of the same name. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman.
The film was initially titled ‘Kizie Or Manny’, but was later named ‘Dil Bechara’. Besides, Sushant and Sanjana, ‘Dil Bechara’ also stars Saif Ali Khan and Swastika Mukherjee in pivotal roles. The songs are being loved by everyone and as always Rahman delivered what we expect from him always, a uniquely different music album.
Despite giving mega-blockbusters like PK, Chhichhore, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and Hits like Kedarnath, Shuddh Desi Romance, Kai Po Che! Sushant never got media attention and his due limelight, he lost many big projects in his career for unknown reasons. He was a brainy actor interested in astrophysics, philosophy, and whatnot. People are feeling like they have lost someone very close after his death, I believe we were never fair to him when he was breathing, and whatever we do now to acknowledge him for the person he was or the actor, in reality, it is too late. The script of the highly talented Sushant was already written, his stardom was bound to take off after his living years. We live in a harsh world where you have to literally give your life to be noticed and appreciated.
Rahman and his team went on to perform Dil Bechara’s title track. The next track was “Maskhari”, performed by Sunidhi Chauhan and Hriday Gattani. In the video, Sunidhi remarked that the song is a mix of real-life and reel-life Sushant. The musical tribute opened with AR Rahman acknowledging that the nine tracks he composed for the film “have a whole new meaning today, a whole new life.” He added, “These songs are dedicated to the loving memory of Sushant Singh Rajput.”
Soon after this, we saw Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal performing “Taare Ginn.” The tribute also featured “Khulke Jeene Ka” by Arijit Singh and Shashaa Tirupati. The last track of the tribute was “Main Tumhara”, performed by Jonita Gandhi and Hriday Gattani.
The tribute ended with lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya as he recited a few lines in Sushant Singh Rajput’s memory.
The film is going to stream on Disney+ Hotstar at 7.30 PM IST, the makers of ‘Dil Bechara’ has decided to stream it online as a tribute to Sushant for both Premium/VIP and non-premium users on the giant video streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar.
