AKSHAY KUMAR one of THE most Versatile actors of our country was unstoppable last year, will that roller coaster ride continue to survive, take a flight or back to square one.
His first release this year has everything going for it,
Subhash Kapoor is a proven brand, his Phas Gaye re Obama (2010) and Jolly LLB (2013) are a testimonial fact. A competent person behind the camera, he is one of those makers who comes closest to being in the same mould of Raju Hirani and that’s the biggest compliment to be dished.
2. Star Power
Thanks to a big star connect the Jolly LLB 2 takes a big leap in terms of production values thus bigger the better hopefully is justified at least here.
Jolly LLB is on the right path of turning out into a trusted franchise if the second venture lives up to the expectation then except more such comedy satires in the future.
4. Balanced Economics
Though AKSHAY’S addition has made the product more powerful but the makers have made sure nothing goes beyond, and everything has been kept under control thus profit making is realistic and not what dreams are made of.
With a two week clear road no speed bumps in terms of big releases moolah all the way.
So since everything is looking honky dory then nothing can go wrong Right? Well here is where films are such a risky business because what looks great on paper doesn’t always shine bright where it matters most The silver screen.
Living up to expectations of previous films comparison.
Time of release has become one of the most important factors and February has never been a paradise for movies like Valentines is for lovers.
February biggest grosser – GUNDAY (78crore net).
Should you watch it?
Well was that was even needed to be discussed because of the proven credentials of the makers and the pre-release buzz but if that was the case, India would consist of the biggest movie-going people in the world, not just 3%as the reality stands.
Hopefully, the Tagline of judges and population disproportion doesn’t remain for the Industry too, where there is only one quality (MR PK) vs Rest who are more of a tragedy for the industry.
If this succeeds both critically and commercially then PK may have Khiladi’s company and more the better both for industry and public which is always welcomed.
