Dangal takes China by storm, breaks every possible record by miles in overseas.
Aamir Khan’s monumental blockbuster Dangal is on a record breaking spree in China as the wrestling drama has proved wrong every trade analyst’s predictions by creating new milestones almost daily in its first ten days of run. Earlier in Taiwan also Khan’s Dangal took top spot beating all the local and Hollywood releases and again in China it did an unthinkable thing by capturing Number one spot from last 4 days beating Marvel’s critical and commercial hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, this is a first of its kind achievement for any Indian film. The feat becomes even more towering when we take other things into consideration such as our Indian wrestling drama is a five months old film which is available on many pirated platforms still it dethroned all Hollywood films in last two weeks in the mainland. The stardom of Khan is now a case study for everyone back home in India because he is the one who does not believe in PR propagandas like everyone else do and only focus on his films. Dangal has made so far $60 Million USD in China and in overseas, it is flying at an unrealistic top for Indian films with $94 million USD. It will be the first Indian film to make $100 million only from the overseas markets.
Aamir Khan and Nitesh Tiwari has proved that we don’t have to copy western films by putting heavy dose of VFX and technology to be up there at the top, rather we need to concentrate on our scripts and have to be honest with it in the execution. The second biggest hit in overseas is PK which has half of Dangal ‘s numbers in its kitty. Well, talking about the the worldwide numbers, Dangal has become the 1st Hindi and second Indian film to cross 1000 crores, and right now it has made 1131 crores worldwide (till 14th May, 6.30 PM IST) and if it continues to move at this pace then very soon it will take over Bahubali:The Conclusion and will make around 1500 crores across the globe. Dangal also became the only film to make more than $10 Million on two individual days in overseas which is a record hard to be broken. We wonder which new grounds Aamir Khan is going to break with Thugs of Hindostan?
