SuperCouples by Prachi Garg
Price: Rs. 195
Publisher – Srishti Publishers & Distributors
In an era booming with the ‘Start-up’ trend and loving this new attitude of breaking boundaries and conventions of a career, one also faces the challenge of being able to partner up with the right people. In lieu of reliable and trustworthy partners, real life couples in relationships have started exploring the idea of partnering up in business too! Speaking to various couple-preneurs, one realizes that the myth about mixing work and home is just as misty as the one about needing a stable and conventional job for an ambitious career. These dynamic start-ups break stereotypes and cover a varied range of services: e-commerce, innovative gifts, eco-friendly products, health care solutions, social responsibility ventures, event management, digital solutions and many others. SuperCouples brings out such lovely stories of enterprising couples. After all, when great minds come together to produce something built on conjoined dreams, the result is eminently successful.
My readers are well aware of the fact that I don’t have much inclination towards non-fiction books but now gradually I have started reading them. Recently I read Prachi Garg’s SuperCouples and after finishing it I realized that the book has stories, Commercial Romantic ones and the base of all the tales in the book is love. Fiction or no fiction doesn’t matter, the stories will inspire you and will compel you to have a successful love story in your life too, an emotionally and professionally productive one. The best thing about Garg’s book is she with it, not only making a solid ground for herself as an author but also giving a very healthy platform to the couples whose stories are covered in the book to get exposure and eventually it is a win-win situation for the author and the couples.
Overall, it is a good read and my favorite ones out of the stories of nineteen couple-entrepreneurs and their start-ups are the journies of Meenakshi & Jey of ARTOLOGUE, Aakriti & Anshul of BORING BRANDS and Swati & Rohan of CASHKARO.COM. In fact, the idea of featuring the stories of lovers turned partner entrepreneurs is just brilliant. Have a read, get inspired by the love of these couples, writing of Prachi is very lucid and easy to read, trust me you will thoroughly enjoy the book, I’ll go with 3.5 stars.
