Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar creates history in China and is all set to become the highest grossing Hindi film of 2017 beating Tiger Zinda Hai which has made 552 CR worldwide so far and will end around 556 CR while Secret Superstar has made 490 CR worldwide till date and is breaking records every day in China. Aamir Khan’s last film Dangal was a monstrous hit and defeated many Hollywood films in its run in China. Aamir Khan is now in his own league when it comes to Global Stardom and popularity, no wonder why Forbes and News Week recently called him the biggest Superstar in the world. People in China is going crazy about him and now he is in the ranks of Biggest Chinese stars there. After a superb week 1, the film has maintained a strong hold on its eighth day and has earned amount similar to what it made on its day 7. Making a fantastic $4.83 million yesterday, the film has gone past the magical number of $50 million in flat 8 days. Which converts into Rs 327.51 CR and emerged as a mammoth commercial success, becoming one of the most profitable films ever, compared to its limited budget of 25 CR.
Now Secret Superstar is India’s second biggest hit in Overseas markets with $60 Million USD behind Dangal which made a whopping $231 Million USD, another Aamir film PK also made around $50 Million USD in foreign markets.
The Advait Chandan directed film stars Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, and Raj Arjun in the lead and Aamir Khan plays a colorful cameo. The film tells the coming-of-age story of a teenage girl who aspires to be a singer, also deals with themes including feminism and domestic violence. The way film is going in China, we can’t say where it’ll stop and certainly we are not complaining.
