Aamir Khan and Nitesh Tiwari’s Dangal is unstoppable, becomes the highest Indian earner in Hong Kong and Turkey.
Aamir Khan and Nitesh Tiwari’s Brobdingnagian Blockbuster Dangal is still setting the box office on fire that too in the different countries and this time it is Hong Kong a Turkey. The movie has not only broken records in India but in many countries in last one year and it is the highest grossing Indian film of all time worldwide. So far in Hong Kong, the movie has made HK$ 15.5 million / US$ 2 million till 7 Sept 2017. That is ₹ 12.81 CR in Indian currency while in Turkey the collections have gone past 2 CR mark. In both these countries it has emerged as the biggest Indian earner beating the likes of PK and Dhoom:3, both were Aamir Khan films.
Earlier Aamir’s Dangal released in China in May and dominated the Chinese box office too. Forbes has placed Dangal on the fifth spot in the list of highest earning non-Hollywood films in ‘cinema history.’ The movie has made over $305 Million USD worldwide so far that is 2000 CR plus in Rupees.
Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat, a wrestler, who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat to become wrestlers. Later, they both go on to win medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games is projected in the film in a manner that it connected with everyone around the world. Aamir Khan’s new film Secret Superstar is on the verge of its release in Diwali 2017 where he is having a cameo, while his previous film Dangal is still creating records, which is a proud state for Indian films.
The movie is looking to accumulate more $6-7 million USD from Hong Kong and Turkey to take its worldwide total to $312 Million USD which no less than a successful Hollywood film made in a hefty budget.
